E a Sabedoria, serena como sempre, respondeu:

Em uma ilha moravam a Alegria, a Tristeza, a Riqueza, a Vaidade, a Sabedoria e o Amor.
Um dia, avisaram ao Amor que a ilha seria inundada e este logo cuidou de avisar a todos.
Todos correram para os seus barcos, buscando um local mais alto e seguro. Somente o Amor desejou ficar mais um pouquinho naquela ilha que tanto amava e que iria desaparecer.
Só quando a ilha já estava sendo inundada foi que o Amor se deu conta do perigo e correu para pedir ajuda.
A Riqueza vinha passando no seu barco suntuoso e o Amor pediu:

A Riqueza respondeu:

Logo após veio a Tristeza, remando seu pesado e escuro barco. E o Amor implorou aflito:
